Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What age do the youth need to be to participate?
A: All youth who turn 14 in 2020 and up can participate in trek.

Q: What does it cost to attend trek?
A: There is no cost to attend trek. All food, transportation, activites, etc. are covered the the stake. There is personal gear that participants will be asked to bring like clothes, sleeping bag, etc. Please work with your Bishops and youth leaders if you need help getting these items.

Q: Besides March 12-14, are there any other dates to be aware of?
A: Yes. On Wednesday evening, March 11, we will gather at the Stake Center. Participants must bring all their gear and the youth will meet their trek familes. Then, the next morning, we will come back to the Stake Center to depart to trek.

Q: What gear do the youth need to bring?
A: The gear list is being worked on now. As soon as it is ready, it will be posted on this website and emailed out to participants and youth leaders. In the meantime, the sooner each participant has a good pair of hiking boots or shoes, the better. This way the footwear can be broken in well before trek. Buying footwear a week or two before trek is not advisable.
